AP Cargo’s Roots
1972
A simple trading firm which will later on become the industry leader in shipping and logistics was founded.
1981
The trading firm, now operating under the name MBS Trading, pioneered air-shipping in the Philippines.
1992
MBS Trading was renamed AP Marine Philippine Trading, following the company’s specialty in delivering aero packages.
The company then entered an exclusive partnership with Aboitiz to transport marine products through air and was reintroduced as AP Marineways Philippines.
1995
AP Marineways was awarded by Aboitiz Air as its top shipper for three consecutive years and has been recognised as one of the leading wholesale brokerage firms in marine products locally.
1996
Following the company’s success, AP Cargo expanded into the AP Group of Companies.
The subsidiaries under the group are:
- AP Transway, Inc., which handled the Aboitiz Express Outlets and Air Agency
- AP Transmarine, Inc. for shipping and management operations
- AP Land Movers, Inc. for trucking, forwarding, and hauling services
- AP HAS Marine, the retail service unit of marine products
- AP Transware for Nestle Philippines, Inc.’s warehouse and forwarding services
2000
AP Group of Companies transitioned into the AP Cargo Logistics Network
2001
AP Cargo was selected to be Cebu Pacific’s authorized logistics agent and Avon’s exclusive handler of Visayas and Mindanao air shipments
The company has also been consistently present in Business Profile’s Philippine Top 7000 Corporations.
2010
AP Cargo was designated as Philippine Airlines’ authorised cargo agent.
At present, AP Cargo has remained steadfast in its devotion to achieving its goal with only the highest ethical and professional standards.
It has linked the country together more than any other domestic shipping and logistics provider with its substantial network of ports and stores; thus, it is distinguished as the country’s leading air freight shipping provider.
